Does anybody know about a good Ogg Vorbis tag reading tool? I need a command line utility to read tag information from Ogg Vorbis files, as a part of GNU Songanizer. I am in a hurry since without this, GNU Songanizer will only have MP3 support and I do not know the GNU Project's official policy regarding this till I receive an answer from RMS. If anybody can help it would be really great.
In the meanwhile, I will keep googling...
Thanks a lot, Debarshi

Well, ogginfo will give you the info / tags about ogg vorbis as well as ogg theora files. Regarding mp3 files, the mp3 codec in patented, but ID3 is not. Though it's OK to read ID3 tags from mp3 files, it's better if you entirely drop support for mp3 in your tool. Hope that helps. Regards, BG

for heavensake please dont do this. Even though mp3 is patented, it still remains the most popular format...
