Dear Gurpreet/ Kunal
Good going guys. All the best for the BootCD project. If you are willing to take up the responsibility of creating the project list...great... As a start, I guess you can speak to students and teachers from
- IIT
- VJTI
- NCST
- University of Mumbai (They have a number of courses, i hear)
[snip] do wee need to go to colleges to find projects , wee seem to be helping them finding some??
- Graduate Colleges [ There is this Vocational Course in
Computer Applications which requires them to do software deveopment projects]. 6. Corporates [ any ideas whom to approach first, we also need to finalise what the ILUG-PRC responsibilities will be in relation to doing projects for corporates]
I think these should give us sufficient information on the kind of projects
[snip] wee dont mind going all these places but will this be fruitful?? i doubt
that can be done, and what the ILUG needs to do to make those projects valid. Further, it would be helpful if we understand what a project will mean for different institutions.

[snip] an cant wee get a few of them from the email archive of this mauling list?? Gurpreet & Krunal

Sure, we are to help them find projects...but we need an understanding of what is a valid project. An initiative like can fizzle out quite easily because not enough people are interested. If this needs to take off, we need to understand what the institutions want because ultimately that is what the students will want. Undoubtedly, we need this list to come up with more ideas about projects that can be done....
The way I see it...somewhere down the line...it should be the companies that dictate the demand...the students provide the supply and the LUG co-ordinates the whole thing...
For the time being, lets stick to the list and see how good a list we can come up with....
[snip] wee dont mind going all these places but will this be fruitful?? i doubt
Fair enough...but i think it make sense to get the support of institutions and corporates...and sooner the better... Lets stick to the list for ideas right now....and once the other details are concretised, we can start garnering support from others...

If/When students start gettin roped up nd IF they find some value out of sharing/learning via our Project Collabration centre......we can get those respective indivizuals to be the head honchos for their own college in termz of listing their own college projectz online which r willing to b done in the gpl way.
