The author thinks that Debian is a difficult distro. Actually if you plan things Debian is the simplest for all types desktop, server, firewall, embedded, load balancing etc. So it makes sense for me to invest my learning time in Debian. So i can provide for a server, desktop, embedded, firewall.But then that is my opinion. The case for DIY single pc users handicapped by lack of knowledge, poor hardware support and non existent M$ software support is different
