Hello Hemanth, Good evening! The Mumbai LUG is not simply a Linux Users' Group. You can say that in some way, it is a ``Free Software Users' Group''. Here we advocate Free Software in general and GNU/Linux in particular. Our main job is to provide technical [as well as moral] support to those who are new to GNU/Linux or those who are having any problems in implementing a GNU/Linux solution. Here we also discuss different ways of spreading awareness about GNU/Linux and the advantages of Freedom in software. We regularly conduct workshops at various Schools/Colleges to initiate the students about GNU/Linux and free software. Here we also share resources like CDs etc. So if you really want to get involved with the LUG, just spread the word about the greatness of Free Software. Introduce people to it ... tell them why and how it's better than other proprietary software and how it helps the society in turn. We all have to do our part ... and together we can carry forward the Free Software Movement. Regards, Bhaskar Ghose
