Comparisons of events apart, if anyone here wants to team / volunteer for a Mumbai event, I could propose to my principal after we have a draft.
We have had a mini Foss event under JTD, with just 8 - 10 students, and I don't know if it would quantify as a success, but I don't think there's a harm in trying again.

If the participants were happy, it was a success.

actually the way to organise an event is to go ahead and announce it - date time and venue, put up a wiki page with this info and conduct it, come what may. This is the only way it works. To form some sort of committee, make drafts, ask for volunteers - does not work. So just go ahead and *do* it.
