hello all , has any one used devnagri truetype fonts on linux. I have being looking for them from quite sometime but have not being able to find any . One more thing has anyone in the list used yudit with devnagri on it. Please reply thanks somesh

Try adding "LaTeX" to your search criteria.

We poeple at NCST are developing one OpenType font for Devanagari. It is a Unicode font. The font has to be tested thoroughly and then we'll put it in public domain. It may take a week or two.

We have modified FreeType font rendering library in X server so that it now supports OpenType font. We have also built Indic Script Shping Engine in the X server. It now works according to Unicode standard.
