hi everyone,
as the Mumbai university has interoduced a subject called unix in C in the first year of engineering, our college ( Fr CRCE bandra) has got new computers (probably PIII with miles of disk space and ample of ram) which would be networked.
now in the first year... there are 5 branches & 60 students per branch.
disk space has to be alloted to these students... for their work.
what would be the most efficient way of doing that ... -please suggest

Create an account for each student and set up disk quotas for them. I would suggest that the accounts be spread across a few boxes rather than have them all on one huge box, so that the crash of one system will not leave everyone without access.
