On paper the NComputing L230 looks promising, claiming compatibility with Linux. Their "middleware" desktop virtualization software posted on their website is for only one distribution specifically Ubuntu 8.10 (which has seen end of life).
I installed the "middleware" software on Ubuntu 10.04 (as I did not have a 8.10 install handy) but the whole install is hosed and I have lost my 10.04 desktop! Sure I may be able to recover the installation but not without loosing time. I am downloading 8.10 and will try out the middleware on that platform later in the day.
Would like to hear about your success/failure experience with NComputing L230 and Linux desktop virtualization (please mention distro name/version/arch).
