Linux has an upperhand in server-end applictaions no doubts about that. But in the desktop area, Windoze still rules. Perhaps, we should learn something from the way they make their UI's.
We always say that Linux is enetring the desktop area, but slowly. Has anyone wondered how fast M$ is doing? If you have to race-em' you have to run faster.
For heavens' sake lets at least talk about getting jet-packs rather than row-row-row your boat ....

I agree with Amit. We had the same discussion with Saswata. Linux rules the server world and it is evolving faster for the desktop. You just need the spirit and a tendency to learn, which fortunately lot of us out here have.
