I downloaded the valhalla-i386-disc1.iso from redhat mirror sites. But , on running md5sum , i didnt get the correct checksum for the disc.
Can anyone tell me how to usr rsync utility to get the correct checksum ?

rsync for such a huge file might not be a good idea. Is the file size less than that of the actual? Then it might be an incomplete download. ftp clients can handle such cases.
In any case, why don't you try the Indian mirrors?
