Hello,
I need some advise or review of SquidGuard and DansGuardian comparison.
In my experience, SquidGuard runs very stable in my environment (around 2 years) and "integrated" to Squid, but it seems no more development. I never use DanGuardian that claim better than SquidGuard.
Hope you would give me your review of products.
Regards,
Komal

DansGuardian is a content filter, and the best out there. It can even do virus scanning, with the help of a patch. I'm used SquidGuard a bit, but mostly for IP address blocking and stuff, not content filtering.
Get yourself some super fast storage with Squid. Content Filtering for a large set of users can send your caching for a toss. How many users are you doing filtering usnig the squid filters.
I once had a nightmare with my 500+ users and a caching-content filtering setup. Have given up on caching-content with an single intel box. Using Cache heirarchies may be a better idea. Lemme know pls.
