hi folks! i've managed to download the 2.4.5 kernel..(thnkx krishnan for offering ur cd) I've currently got 2.2.14 on my Suse box. I've also gone thru the Changes file for the new kernel, and accordingly downloaded new e2fsprogs, modutils, binutils egcs etc.Before i take the plunge, i wanted to know if anyone has done this beofre on suse...what happens to yast? will it still work? any gotchas/caveats etc etc? also, the new kernel requires me to go back to egcs 1.1.2 which means an older gcc than the one currently on my system... what happens to my other applications? well..i think i;ve asked more than enuff questions in one mail!
