All:
Those of you who frequent the IRC channel (#linux-bangalore on irc.freenode.net) already know this, but let me put it down here as well:
To track the various discussions, ideas and stuff, we have set up a Wiki (temporarily at http://linux-bangalore.org/2005/wiki/) where content managers
(people who have volunteered to handle tracks/activities/etc.) will maintain pages of information for the general public to refer to.
The wiki is read-access for everyone, and write access for content-managers.
Please have a look at the information already there, and get onto the event mailing list (http://linux-bangalore.org/list) to offer suggestions, comments
and even help.
Note the "Help wanted" section on the front page. This list will increasingly
expand, as more and more community involvement is needed to handle various content aspects of the event. If you wish to handle any particular track/activity/etc., get onto the mailing list and start discussing stuff, make your proposal.
This is again a sincere request to everyone who considers himself part of the
FOSS community in India - no matter where you are - to get involved and make this truly your event.
If you are part of other mailing lists, user groups or SIGs, please forward this information there, to allow others to participate.
If all goes well, we will probably be able to announce the final shape of things before this week is out, but at this point, *nothing* is carved in stone.
Thanks in advance for participating in the discussions that will shape the event.
Atul
