I posted this about a week ago, but it seems that many people still don't care, so I'm going to say it again. When replying to a post, TRIM THE ORIGINAL. Do NOT include the original AS IS. Cut out ALL irrelevant parts. Failing to do so just makes you seem rude. Philip

[ILUG-BOM]Proxy Server Query .

Hi there, I need to setup a proxy server for my company= with squid, There are more than 10,000 users that will connect with= this proxy for access to the net, I wanted to use a Redhat 7.3 or 8= provided they allow me to use huge amount of RAM something to a tun= e of 16GB, what I wanted to know is btw these two which ver to choos= e for this kind of memory? I also need to run IPTABLES and a VirusWa= ll on the server, can anyone suggest weather to use a single server = for proxy, IPTABLES and Virus Wall with 16GB of ram or I should use = some other architecture??? I am using Pine as well and face the same problem. It seems all the mails that are not displayed by Pine, come from Rediff. At end I have attached the mail and you can see the part that Pine is unable to display and hence shows the error. (http://www.borland.com/kylix/open/index.html) Note that the language is not BASIC. Kylix 3 onwards supports C++ & Object Pascal (i.e. the equivalents of Borland C++ Builder & Delphi on Windows) It is NOT open source, but there is an "Open Edition" that is free as long as you release your program under GPL. Following is important in qmail backup.. User database (/etc/passwd file or LDAP data base or DBMS) Users Mail Box Qmail Engine files and config files.. Other dependent modules/applications used by Qmail.. hi please check whether the terminals you are trying to login using the root id is listed in the securetty file located in /etc/securetty. If your terminal (tty1, tty2 .. etc) is not listed in this file then you wont be able to log in as root from these terminals in such cases you will have to resort to the su command.
