[ILUG-BOM] How Can I integrate antivirus & antispam software with Q-mail ? pls. Help !

Hello ppl, I am an avid user of RedHat Linux. I need some help= regarding integration of my antivirus & antispam software with = Q-Mail. I have Kaspersky anti-virus for Mail server as well as anti-= spam . The anti-virus had no hassels. But, its not integrating with = Q-Mail. Moreover, the anti-spam software isn't working. Hi Krishna Thanks for your reply. Please note I have logged as root during the configuration process and also note there is no directory like /usr/local/mysql/data existing for me to check the permission. Hi, Has anyone used OpenMosix ? Came to know that it's a great distribution used for clustering/parallel processing that runs completely out of a cd, just like Knoppix. I am the maintainer of http://linux.mejokj.com which distributes cheap cds of all the Linux distros and Open Source Software. Before including Openmosix to my list, I would like to get some feedback. spurios error

I tried working on this spurios error ( spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7 ) that kept creeping up when i booted. Nothing seems to help. I was also just told to ignore the error since it wasnt anything trivial. However, I am not too sure if this is related but, whenever I do major transfers to this box, it ends up hanging. This is a pretty new machine with tons of resources, and seeing it just crash without anything else in the logs to point elsewhere is something rather odd. Can help me diagnose this issue, I really cant have this go down on me on critical times... Thanks, Satish

rpm segfaulting after glibc upgrade

Hi guys, We have an Intel P-4 machine running Redhat 8. Since some packages don't get compiled without glibc 2.3, we decided to upgrade glibc from 2.2.93 to 2.3.2-11.9. We downloaded source rpm from redhat and compiled it on our machine. It created rpms for i386 architecture. We could upgrade glibc-common and glibc without any problem ( we took the backup of /lib before upgradation). But rpm gives segmentation fault now whenever we try to upgrade or install any package. All other programs seem to be working fine with new glibc. As it seems, rpm-4.1-1.06 is incompatible with glibc 2.3 and should be upgraded before upgrading glibc. But as we have already done the mistake, please suggest us how can we get rpm working, so that we can upgrade rpm before glibc. Mysql Problem

Hi All I am trying to install mysql-standard-4.0.17 (source) on Redhat 9 but it fails with no error but a frozen screen as follows +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Starting the mysqld server. You can test that it is up and running with the command: ./bin/mysqladmin version [root@seaapp mysql]# Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /usr/local/mysql/data 040204 17:55:34 mysqld ended +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ There is an erro file generated under ./data directory by servername.err file 040204 17:55:34 mysqld started 040204 17:55:34 InnoDB: Operating system error number 13 in a file operation. InnoDB: See http://www.innodb.com/ibman.html for installation help. InnoDB: The error means mysqld does not have the access rights to InnoDB: the directory. InnoDB: File name ./ibdata1 InnoDB: File operation call: 'create'. InnoDB: Cannot continue operation. 040204 17:55:34 mysqld ended Guys I just want to setup a live webserver with Apache + PHP + Mysql but with no luck.
