Dear All, we have 10 pop accounts, in an organisation there are 40 persons, who wants to use email accounts. HOw is it possible to get mails for the rest of the persons (30 persons) without increasing the pop accounts? How do we use aliases here... or any settings in fetchmail....? Kindly explain. An HCL guy (let me refer to him as a ;-) reliable source) told me prelaunch that the product takes advantage of the massive economies of scale in purchasing that HCL achieves. Specific to our conversation, they have an 14" LCD screen bought at unbelievably competitive prices because the flavour of the month is 15" screens. btw, on another thread (it really is a lot of trouble to cut and paste correctly from digests), someone (I think it was Rony) asked about the logic of using a 300W board to play MP3s through a 50W amp: I think desktops drawing 300W include the monitor. The current draw of the plain board will be much lower, maybe sub-50W. -- Vickram

The sify client simply does not work reliably. Connects sometimes and not at all at other times. When it does connect the client will report failed but the logfile will give you success and the session id. Pointers POOINTERS pleeease. It's my ma-in-laws connection on debian sarge. Otoh hathway worked well in churchgate. rgds jtd

Installing anything on Debian Sarge using apt-get does not install req dependecies

I got the Debian Sarge CDs from gautam borad, who posted on this list sometime back. Next time dude, pls post that the 7 CDs are "unstable" version r0A. Would have helped me ? ok so I got it installed at the cost of my Suse 9.1 working install. Base install AOK. The sources.list file has cdrom entries for disks 2-7 of the set (Just looked up a book.. i think this is a list of places to look for packages. However if I try to install gnome for instance apt-get install gnome I get a slew of dependencies, which "will not be installed" or something to that effect. How do I plead with apt-get to find and install the req dependencies ? Pls keep in mind that the machine does not have a 4 lane broadband conn. so online updates would be a prob. Can I get a Desktop from somewhere within the 7 CDs stuck at the Debian command prompt again (spider sense tingling - jtd are u replying before I post this?), Gishu Pillai

Hi all.. i just stubled on this Live CD distro www.dynebolic.org<http://www.dynebolic.org>has anybody used it..?? howz it?? Is it really good for multimedia and stuff or is there any other distro that is better for multimedia production and for audio video recording... And will the fact that its LIve CD have any bearing on the work that can be carried out... Thanks, puneet
