Vedic calendar algorithm

I am making a simple symbian app in Python which will take Gregorian calendar date from user and convert it to Vikram Sanvat /Shak samvat of Vedic calendar. unfortunately, the hindu calendar varies much from the our de-facto system in no. of days in months. So, I am looking for an algorithm which does it effectively , otherwise, I will have to write it from scratch which may have some bugs(in dates). the app first calculates the time in seconds(unix epoch way) then converts it to gregorian. Hi, Have a simple question. How is this any diff than (ed)buntu. Saw the small flash intro and it uses the same stock ubuntu screens even ubu sw centre. Esp when it is available as a 690 mb live cd which this is for abt 2 gb. Will dw and give it a spin. Again, the question is just abt understanding this and not to belittle any of the efforts. Stylus stopped working

Ubuntu 10.04 used to work fine on HP Compaq tc4400. On installing "Interwrite Workspace" from http://www.einstruction.com/support_downloads/downloads.html stylus works uotp login screen. After entering login detail, stylus stops working. How I can resolve this issue, where I should focus? -- H.S.Rai

Knowledge Dependecy Tree

Hi, I was doing some research on elearning capsules and found that a knowledge dependency tree can be made without wasting any resources on analyzing which tech to use or which platform to use (FOSS / NON FOSS). I am an Information Architect and I hate the interface of Gnowledge Labs. I also hate the out put diagram. Now I was speaking about the leading edge technology to be used to make such dependency chart. It is the damm windows explorer of windows xp. Make individual folders, put content related to it be it a PDF or a DOC. Make Shortcut files. Place them inside each other as per the dependency understood and followed. If the nodes have different type then different naming conventions can be used for it while naming the folders. Benefits ^^^^^^^^ 1. A layman can use it 2. No cost of buying this software 3. A LMS might not be needed to create an electronic learning system Any points which u think I have missed please shoot, I on behalf of Creanology will love to answer. Regards, Navin Dhanuka
