They are supported by CUPS, GIMPPrint, Foomatic - everyone!
I don't know much about printers and printer drivers in Linux but those are some of the things I was pointed to by people on comp.os.linux.* but I could _never_ get them to print a single page.
PS: I hope people who complained about line-length of my posts are happy this time.
