Strange, Some phone nos have changed, some have not. Some numbers you call take you to the wrong place if you have not dialed the changed number. You dial a number from land line, it dials corretly and connects using the old number, same thing from mobile does not work !!!

People dialing my resi no on sunday morning couldnt get through on the old number, now they can......but not from mobiles.

What is mtnl upto ???

Please update your Phone Books, all telephone numbers of MTNL Bombay will carry a dialing prefix of digit "2" as a part of their system upgradation program, in effect from 00:00 10th Nov 2002 (IST) ie 18:30 9th Nov 2002 (GMT)

Mobile phone numbers and telephone numbers of other telephone service providers will remain unaffected.
