I am looking for a 2-4 port SATA II add on card, with Linux support, that goes into a PCI express slot.
Anyone know of any brand/retailer @ Lam. Rd that carries above? Please let me know.
I have a couple of PCI SATA cards but they are keyed to fit in the 5.0V PCI slots only.
TIA

Thanks and yes, I have seen them @ Rs. 300 each. Some of them even have an external SATA port for external disks. However, they are keyed for 5V pci connectors. On my server motherboard, the pci connectors are keyed for 3.3V and both are in use (SCSI and additional NIC). A couple of PCI Express connectors not in use and hence the query.

I didn't know that PCI standard voltages varied. PCIe should give you higher speeds too.
Some PCI cards work with in both 3.3 and 5 volt slots and you will see 2 cuts in the connector lip. The ones with a single cut are usually 5V compatible.
Still looking for PCI express @ Lam. Rd.; if I cannot find them here then I will have to source it from the US http://www.techsunny.com/SYBA_SD-SA2PEX-2IR_PCI-Express/SD-SA2PEX-2IR/partinfo-id-3226461.html
