[ILUG-BOM] tftp services not working for ltsp (thin clients) need help

hi friends, i am really in a problem. i am installing ltsp(thin clients). i have configured everything. i just found out that reason for it not working is that the tftp is not working. infact i could not find the tftp file, i tried it in /etc/xinetd.d . there is no tftp file in the system. please tell me what should i do. how do i instal the tftp services. this is very urgent. thanks for your help in advance. thanks again. anthony. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Samba with Radius Auth

HI, Can samba authenticate users from a Radius server? I tried google, and it looks helpless. No anwers anywhere. Lots of negative reactions, like its even useless to do so. Any of the listers know something about this? Thanks in advance. -- Rohan

query regarding linux

hi all, i would like to switch to linux from windows. but i feel nervous as i have never installed linux for regular usage like playing games, surfing the internet, etc. a constant fear lurks in the mind what if it does not detect my hardware, how do i configure it for cable internet considering that my cable internet provider may not know how to install internet on any other os other than windows. please can someone clear some of my doubts and give me guidance. thanks and regards, kevin

We never taught him to use a pc. He learnt probably by observation. He and his friends used windows for games too. What was their preference - 80:20 for linux. What were the reasons - The games were good and "madech bandh hoth nahin" and "phata phat chalta hai" That's for the dolts who confuse installation and configuration with usage. rgds jtd

There's loads and loads > of useless free software around. Utility and performance can be extracted from even useless software provided ofcourse the software permits you the freedom to do so. Non free software continues to stay the way it was created buggy and increasingly useless. Infact useful non free software over a period of time tends to become completely useless. I am dealing with some such pieces now. The Company has to pay us a big fat sum just to find out how it's old software worked :-)). And then more to make the new software.
