Usually the researcher comes to your office by prior appointment and gives u a fair idea of what he is researching. Even if u have to visit some place for the research u are visited first so that the researcher can ensure that ur profile fits their product target market etc. U will be asked to sign some nda or the other. In the abscence of the above it is most likely to be one of the MLM scams aka kudos, japan life, sherigar etc. etc. If u have not been to one of these do go. It will provide great insites into the pschology and logistics of scam organisers and victims. How perfectly sane and logical bean counters can part with lakhs for something as mundane as matresses is something u should not miss. Mouse Configuration in Fedora Core4

Hi, FC4 installed finally but not without hiccups. I will not mention some weird things that I bumped into during installation. Now I'm stuck with a detected mouse, which is non-operational. I see a pointer at the center of the screen but it won't move from there. I used the keyboard during the entire installation process. This mouse was detected by some other distros of Linux earlier so the H/w is ok. I tried /usr/bin/mouseconfig - Shutting down console mouse services fails. next I get an error message stating Failed to set line discipline .. As always, Help me !!! Thanks, Gishu Pillai

HI all, IS there a command that i can use that can recursively check for all dependencies a particular piece of software requires.. Because while installing something i get an error regarding one dependency and for installing that dependency it requires something else which gets pretty frustrating... Thank you, Puneet

printing problem

Hi all i have a laser printer that is connected to a windows machine. that machine is part of a particular domain. my machine which is running linux happens to be part of the same network ( not domain ) . i have account for access to the windows domain . the problem is that i m not being able to use that printer from my linux machine. does anyone have some idea, how to do it. regards devendra
