thanx for the reminder philip, but i did all that the first time itself. but then i downloaded the same file again from another location - the first time was from suse's site. it worked the second time around. i dunno why. navin

Hi There, Had written one mail earlier but just wanted to add... See yaar, win might be gr8 and cheap for someone who wants to just use it for normal home usage - Email, Internet, and for the very affluent, MS Office -(Staroffice for many :) ) After that wot?? For a student - doing any development work on the win platform is a very costly (hence difficult) proposition.. Except for Jdk, and some selected packages - everything else remotely related to development costs the heaven... And look at the mentality of MS - One has to pay money to even copy their help files - I believe even MSDN, which is a glorified help file... Also cant be re-distributed... Now - this (mentality), I believe is wot TRULY Irritates us all.... Bye, SP PS - I am not botherd by the money BG has - I am botherd by how he earned it. Debian 2.2 CD's and doubts on Pine

Hi There, Request please - I need the 3rd CD of Potato. I have the 1st and 2nd CD with me. If someone is comming for Philips' Lecture at NCST and can get it for me - I will be much indebted - I will pay for the media - but I dont have access to CD writer :(. And BTW, Is it possible that I start the installation from the CD, then tell debian (apt) to get the other packages off the internet - If they are not present on the 3rd CD. Also, I wud like to ask an OT question - Can u nowadays access MSN using everybuddy?? Help with library libmng.so.0 reqd

i did a 'rpm -i --nodeps' on qt as philip had suggested. then i was able to install opera but now it gives this error: 'opera: error in loading shared libraries : libmng.so.0 : ELF file data encoding not little-endian' now where do i get a little-endian file for that guys, Navin

Hi All, please change your subscribed email id before 31st since usa.net is shutding down its free email service. there will be a huge load of mails which will start bouncing and eventually create a load on the server. regards, parag mehta
