Linux on AMD

I am planning to upgrade my PC. The new config will be AMD Athlon XP 2400 Processor on a Asus board. I would like to know how linux performs on AMD processors. Any trouble or smooth as silk? ntfs automounting..

Dear Mumbai Friends, Is there any one who is frustrated = from job , or who want to earn money like any thing , or who think that the= y cannot fullfill there dreams with the salary they are getting. I am= the one who was thinging all the above. I am a expirence IT professional ,= getting very good salary compare to others , my salary was above 20k . but= as every one knows 20k is not a good deal in mumbai , and to get salary ab= ove this is not so easy. Thats is the reason i started search= ing some part time business or job , after 4 months , i came accross to one= company , which i will keep secrect now. I really like the working system = of this company. I didnt take much time to joined this company. This compan= y provided me lots of trainig, which help me to develop my business. with i= n a very short spam of time( 5 month) i started earning more than 15k from = this company , and that too working very part time, only 8 hours a week. i am so confident that if i work full time with this com= pany , i can earn more than 40k from this company. automounting in Red Hat Linux (Fedora)

Hi, I've installed Fedora Core1 (Kernel - linux-2.4.22-1.2129.nptl). I've compiled it, so that I can access my NTFS partition. I'm trying to automount that partition. I've specified "ntfs -fstype=ntfs :/dev/hda5" in my auto.misc file. But I'm unable to access the partition. whenever I try to 'cd /misc/ntfs' it gives me error as No such file or directory. Only for the first time it worked, but after that it never succeeded. Any help regarding this...??? Thanx, Pranay C. Tembhekar

segmentation fault AGAIN

I have a webserver and qmailserver running in one machine Some days back i got a 'segmentation fault' whenever i tried to create dir on that machine. Now this error in coming for qmailctl queue also :(( HOW COIULD I FIX THIS WITHOUT DISTURBING QMAIL AND WEBSERVER INDTALLATIONS ? ========== [root@webserver tmp]# qmailctl queue messages in queue: 24 messages in queue but not yet preprocessed: 0 /usr/bin/qmailctl: line 107: 2296 Segmentation fault qmail-qread [root@webserver tmp]# ==============
