Which Driver for SMC2635W??

Hello all: I am having difficulties trying to get the right driver for the SMC2635W wireless card. I've done some searches in google but can't get to the right driver for this card. Some results say the card has a ADMtek chipset which uses the ADM8211 driver; others say is another (can't remember). Can someone please guide me to where I can get the correct driver. I tried downloading the ADM driver but it sends me a website where I cannot download it. I'm running Debian sarge and 2.6.15 kernel. hi is there any driver for hp laser jet 1020. coz on site there is no driver support for Linux. so i tried an third party driver it worked but was unable to print on the page. -- Regards Advait Raut

hi , i was just going through the schedule http://www.techfest.org/schedule.phpof IIT Bombay techfest and it mentions that lecture by Mark Shuttleworth is on Days of the fest i.e. 21st at 11 AM. I think this is a separate arrangement than the address to GLUG on 22nd, so if anybody can just confirm this I think it wil just sort things out. Does NVIDIA 128 MB RAM (Pine) AGP Card support 1280x1024 and play mpeg videos in X windows?

Hi I have a VGA compatible controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 86C326 5598/6326 (rev 0b) (prog-if 00 [VGA]) But I'm unable to play mpeg videos in 1280x1027 resolution. I need to change to 1024x768 resolution and then I am able to play videos I posted a message on the SiS forum here to get some help. http://www.winischhofer.at/sisforum/viewtopic.php?t=175 However, I'm assuming that it may not be possible. So therefore I wanted to know if I buy this video card: Pine, 128 MB NVIDIA AGP Card, FX model, that it would work on my Debian Sarge system - meaning get high resolution and play mpeg videos? Screen Goes Black after running X

Hello Everyone; I have a problem running Debian on a Acer TravelMate 260 laptop: The system boots up and I can login in the command prompt and change to different screens (ctrl-alt-f1 to f7). But, Once I startx I CANNOT change screens. I know I can "kill" X by pressing ctrl-alt-backspace but when I do this the monitor just goes black and I cannot do anything else. The only choice I have here is to ctrl alt del and restart the system. I've done some searches in google but no help. I am running: kernel 2.6.15 on a Acer TravelMate 260 Laptop; 1Ghz over 200 Meg of ram Debian 3.0 Thanks in advance for your help. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Hi, Thanks for responding. Do you have the rpms available for the packages you have mentioned. I presume the packages installed on my system provide the required libraries. I'am now trying to scan through the configure file to get a workaround. mplayer from java

Hi all, i am sorry if you dont think this is relevant to the list... but i thought i could get help here... I have a java application from which i am tryin to execute mplayer... Runtime.getRuntime.exec("mplyaer -fs myfile.mpg"); when i do this i get full screen window of mplayer but the actual video is just a small square at the centre whereas if i execute the command directly from command line it works fine!! if uv got any clues plz tell me... -- Puneet
